And oh, I do post stuff other than Highbrew. How boring would it be to have only the company stuff. There's a reason I call it semi-personal ;) And besides, it brings on a more personal feel of the company, if you know what I mean.

And you're more than welcome to my wee little blogspace! I love what you write, I think you've a killer sense of humour. Keep up the goodwork!

Ciao!

Hey Sid!

Sheesh, nope - am not the AC. But I've a fair idea of who the AC *might* be - it's a she and she's from GT =)

No, I'd not argue anonymously, I think I'd prefer to stand by my opinions, no matter how ridiculous they might seem :-) Yeah, the crowd that have been hammering my blog are a useless bunch. All that they do is just say nasty things. If at the very least they argued rationally about something, it would make some sense. But instead, they just come and holler a bunch of expletives and fill up the blog with crap.

Kinda gets to you, you know? Bah, jobless nitwits.

> I'm expecting you to crack the riddle, by the way,
> especially since I just saw a key word in the answer > in one of your blog titles. Oh, no, somebody else
> got it, mostly. Oh well.

What riddle? Am a li'l lost, lady.

And thanks on the technerdiness thingy, nothing beats a geek going into a bar and rattling on numbers on quantum physics. Get ya' all the chicks you'll ever need in life ;)

Hi Karthik! *waves*

Thanks for stopping by. Dang, I had no idea you read this blog. Kooky.

Hey wait! *lightbulb*
Are YOU the AC? Over on Bostongal's blog you dismissed the anti-gay marriage argument put forth by the AC, though you are a Bush supporter, but that would be an excellent fakeout. Hm. But I have to say, given your policy on annoying posters on your blog, it would be downright disrespectful to do it to someone else. But then again...you ARE a Bushie, lol! Still, you seem, I dunno, smarter than AC on your blog. But I might just be in awe of your technerdiness. I'm expecting you to crack the riddle, by the way, especially since I just saw a key word in the answer in one of your blog titles. Oh, no, somebody else got it, mostly. Oh well.

I didn't realize you had a blog with posts on anything other than Highbrew until just now. Fascinating. I'll visit more often. I promise to play nice!

ooh, am I your dear liberal? Yay! endearments!
Anyway, can you please stick to a topic? and if not, can you please pick something that is actually political? Do you want to talk about personal belief in rights or the economic ramifications of eating meat given the waste/land use/federal handouts given the meat industry, you no-doubt-meat-inhaling-political schiz (which I rather encourage,it makes for fun convos)? I hardly think what you choose to eat is a political maneuver for everyone (though it is for some, and some very dear friends at that, who would probably have more information on the issue than I have since textbooks on sustainable food systems and research on vegetarianism are light reading for them, I'm sure they'd be happy to enlighten you) and did you not notice I have been a bloody veg. for the past 5 years, and had turkey this once, or are you deliberately ignoring that bit?) Anyway, I've never been big on the animal rights movement, for a few reasons: 1) I'm suspicious of people who care more about the welfare of other creatures than of their fellow man. When they (the PETA types) are agitating as loudly for the rights of humans as well, and are concerned about rights for all, I'll be in their corner. 2)While there are several researchers working on developing digital alternatives to animal testing for drugs and medical procedures, I don't think a truly worthy alternative has yet been developed. Now, this is not saying that I actively support the "animals are our bitches" stance, either. I don't, for instance, believe in hunting, though I used to be an archer, wearing fur, for any reason, animal testing for frou-frou cosmetics, or eating meat on a regular basis for health and spiritual reasons (there is a whole clean insides/mindful of all life/reduce spiritual aggression issue that I personally have, thanks for asking). As for there being "better" alternatives, I would like you to show me the research that conclusively proves processed meat alternatives (which I actually eat quite regularly--I just had a big ol' stack of wheat gluten chicken yesterday for lunch) are better than ALL sources of animal protein. Soy products? Risky estrogen issues (at least it gives me the worst cramps and clotting ever if I have it consistently) Wheat gluten? Lots of people are allergic. Beans? Lots of people like to live amongst others of their kind, rather than in a hut in the woods where they can pass wind in peace. Now, as I pointed out, I actually do consume these alternatives regularly (ask nicely and I'll give you my recipe for pastaless pasta with meatless meat sauce, it's divine) for my own reasons. Do you? Or are you just bored and dying for my attention ;)

Now, if you want to talk about the political aspects of vegetarianism, by all means, show me where raising turkeys (what I have eaten once in the last five years) has the sort of detrimental impact on the environment or economy as rasing cows (in Latin America, land use) pigs (in California, god-awful noxious sick-making fumes and water pollution from hog farms--but Bush is rolling back regulation there, thanks) or chickens (again, horrible fumes and emissions, pollution from giant farms)? Has there been a smuggled-illegal-immigrant-employee scandle at the largest turkey producer the way there was at Tyson Foods, for instance? Just curious. Lemme know. It will likely reaffirm my meatless lifestyle. Will it have the same impact on you?

Ah, the AC is back.

Anyway - just a question. You speak of rights, but you still think it is okay for you to kill an animal and consume it, even when there are better means of sustenance that are available?

Hmmm? Care to shed some light, my dear liberal?
