Ross, J–Thanks for the tips. I thought very, very hard about going to the show that was on last night, but in the end I couldn’t drag my ass that far downtown, even for the free. I will check out the next show, though.

Also, come to think of it, it doesn’t seem all that odd, considering the mind-jacking catchiness of “Connection.”

To be fair to your sense “meh”, don’t forget that Justine was sued by the band Wire for ripping off “Three Girl Rhumba”. Justine was always too junked out to be that good of songwriter.

Louise Wener from Sleeper on the other hand, amazing songwriter, wrote songs as catchy as Elastica’s, and didn’t rip off post punk forebands.

Plus, Louise is a pretty good novelist. Strange life.

K-I don’t particularly thrill to The Donnas brand of throwdown, if you knows what I means. (I sure as shit don’t.) But I’m not saying they ain’t no good, neither. I’m just saying I don’t think I want to throw them into a studio with Ziggy Marley and Punjabi MC and listen to the results, nahmean? But if Galang is what could come of that sort of pairing, well, maybe I do want to listen to the results, just, I don’t wanna know how they came about. Uh, wha?

Also, I don’t know if she seems overproduced so much as already fucking overexposed, to me. Because, like HOAS was saying, every music critic ever insists you must like her, and she’s like, the future of music and shit, and that would ususally guarantee immediate hatred on my part of most any artiste, because so many music critics have their heads so far up their own assholes I think they can’t hear music quite right. Hm.

Same for you. too-we’ll keep rading. Also, when you post “any onld crap,” it’s always still really good and interesting and on point. I have yet to develop that particular skill, lol.

Hey don’t dis The Donnas. Their last couple of CD’s have been pretty good.
M.I.A.? I dunno. She seems a bit too overproduced for my tastes, but I have not heard enough of her to really judge. But maybe I’ll check it out.

And even though I’ve been posting lately, my motivation has been pretty “meh” It’s like I’m posting about any ol’ crap just to do it. So don’t fret. We’ll still be here.
