have you seen the Shakespeare Retole series? they update Taming of the Shrew and rufus plays the boorish lead. it’s so hot, my friends and i rewatched 20 times. they’re finally available on DVD from the BBC.

what’s funny is i totally did not find paddy considine sexy in in america. appealing, emotionally, but not sexy. i did find him kind of crazy/sexy in my summer of love. don’t even remember him in 24 hour party people.

hm. sexay in “In America”, not so much in that photo.
i find most brit dudes intriguing - that is, until i get an eyeful of british teeth and then start thinking about what it might be like to kiss that medieval mouth. then intrigue dwindles to ’sorta interesting as drinking buddy.’

Hm. I actually find John Hannah pretty sexy, full stop. Not entirely sure why. Paddy Considine, though, I am ambivalent about. Neither of them is exactly traditionally attractive, but they both have some charm, some menace, some of the fool about them. Which is what makes them both such good character actors. Meh.

The word that comes to my mind is intriguing. I found him very charming and attractive in “In America,” but I wouldn’t call him sexy for the main reason that he looks too much like Stephen Rea for my liking.
