Dood. I own Batman Begins (in storage) and will undoubtedly see Dark Knight in theaters like, 3 times, once in IMAX. Don’t feel bad about $10. Also, the only important bits are teh bale…and to a far, far, far lesser extent, teh ledger.

You know, seriously, he is the perfect balance of pretty and scary for a man. I think that’s why i likes him.

Haven’t seen anything promising today. Though the interwebs have numerous reports of Dark Knight doings around town, mostly downtown but also up here.

I’m gonna end up spending ten bucks to see this movie only to discover that they’ve CGIed everything into oblivion and I’ll recognize nothing. Nothing except Mr. Bale and Mr. Ledger, that is.

You know, last week when the Dark Knight people were filming in the ‘hood, they had a blue cherrypicker type of thing outside the second-floor apartment where they were (I imagine) filming. The crew and the trailers are gone, but that blue thing is still parked at Clarendon and Cuyler (that’s about a block north of Irving Park, and you hit Clarendon by following Halsted straight north and continuing straight north a couple blocks after it stops being called Halsted, if you don’t know). Have not seen the trailers and whatnot back here, but I kinda keep an eye out every day. I think the cop last week told me they’d be filming in the neighborhood again on Tuesday (um, nope) or Wednesday (hope springs eternal!).

So yes, skip the gym and walk yourself up this way just in case Mr. Bale is about. You never know. Worst-case scenario, you only see that blue cherrypicker thing and say to yourself, “Self, last week, Mr. Gary Oldman laid eyes on this same exact machine and walked over to his trailer in that field across the street.”
