In the last 14 days I have:
acquired the the most kickass cat (Delacalle breed) in the history of cats*;
finally gotten a round, drop-leaf dining table (that was NOT a detested pedestal table), so completing my core furnishing needs;
finally retrieved the gigantic TV a friend was kind enough to pass on to me, thereby saving about $300 in new flatscreen costs, since I will pretty much not toss this one until it implodes;
secured legitimate Internet and cable, including the coveted BBC America;
been granted a 4% raise, less than a year after I was hired, which I was not expecting, but about which I am rather pleased.
Life is surprisingly quiet, stable and good. I love my cat. Gris-Gris has been in my possession a mere week now, and I think I may actually love him more than anything else I have ever acquired. Seriously. Love. Even though he tries to nom me to death at 3am, every single night. Love.
My table. It functions.
My TV, it televises. And my self-connected cable, it works! Thoughts:
Holy ass, Real World Hollywood is the blackest Real World EVAR. Kinda. Um. I missed like 5 seasons. It’s the darkest season I’ve ever seen, mjanyway.

Is it wrong that after watching a Kimora marathon on Oxygen, that I kind of love her? Despite her gaudilicious proclivities? Is she shallow, OCD and manufactured? Yes. But she’s so purrrrty! And tall!
