Siddity in the City

You have spoken, and I am surprised. Very happy, but surprised. I can’t begin to wrap my arms around this one, and perhaps that is my own shortsighted failing, but thank you. I didn’t think that we had come this far.

I’ve always been proud to be an American. I’m finally starting to believe America feels the same about me. What? It’s hard being an eloquent, ivy-grad elitist with a couple of degrees from deep blue New England in the heartland!*

I’m off to get some coffee and get to work. If anybody spots Sarah Palin in the coming days, give her a hug from me, will ya?

*Ok, Illinois is blue too, but it’s got lots of red-sympathizers and transplants. That argument, by the way, is the one FOX used to explain Virginia. They blamed the transplants. Ha!
